1/6-1/7

Welcome back-as we begin the second semester the big project will be March 6th. King High Remembers is for those who passed first semester and can maintain a C until the end of February.

1/6 Monday-We began to look at why America changed it's mind on the 18th amendment. We looked through the first half of 10 documents and discussed how things didn't turn out as perfect as America thought it would. The title of the unit is The best of Times, The Worst of Times. also students had quickwrite # 1-
The 18th amendment ends alcohol in America. They call it the “noble experiment.” What do you think this means? Why do you think they end up getting rid of it?

1/7 Tuesday- We finished looking at the documents. Students answered a question for each and then prepared as if they were writing a dbq. The Thesis is the main thing we are focusing on.

The Documents

1/8-We looked over King High Remembers which is this year, and watched a video that showed what students will be doing.
