1/13-I reviewed the work from last week we went over the Harlem Ren. the Towns and Scopes trial. We finished by beginning to look at how individuals started to buy the new inventions of the time.
1/14-We began to look at spending in the 1920's including purchasing things on credit.
1/15-We finished looking at purchases. Students did a short assignment in their notebook on superficial prosperity.
1/16-I talked about what a stock was and how it could crash, then began to look at a google classroom assignment on what it was like to live through the Depression.
1/17-Students finished the google classroom assignment from yesterday.
1/21-We took notes in class about the banks and how everyone wanted to withdraw their money. Secondly how Hoover handled the beginning of the Depression. Though his logic was there the people couldnt wait for things to turn around. FDR took over with the idea of pushing things forward.
1/22-We began class by looking at a political cartoon that reflected a dr trying to fix a sick patient. We then read about what it was like to endure a dust storm, and finished by looking at the first 100 days of FDR's presidency.
1/23-Today we began to look at the new deal remedies. We focused on the CCC. There was a short packet that looked at several parts of the New Deal and if it was helping.
